We are a group of dedicated animal lovers working to improve animal welfare in Alberta.
We rely completely on the support of a foster and volunteer system, and without their time, dedication, patience and compassion, Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Foundation would not exist.
We provide routine veterinary care and services, including vaccinations, spay and neuter, microchips and deworming for our rescue animals. We also provide specialized care for them as needed such as dental work, antibiotics, wound care, and necessary surgeries. Our funding comes partially from adoption fees, and we also receive generous donations from our supporters, as well as corporate sponsors, which allow us to provide high quality care for the animals in our care.
Additionally, we hold various fundraisers throughout the year organized by a dedicated team of volunteers, with all proceeds going to the rescued animal’s care.
During the past twenty-two years, Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Foundation has made a considerable difference in the quality of life for many animals on Sunchild and O'Chiese Reserves, and throughout Central Alberta.
We have placed thousands of abandoned or surrendered puppies, dogs, cats and kittens into loving homes. We have provided thousands of pounds of food and veterinary care for many companion animals. We have funded emergency medical care and, in a few instances, euthanasia for those beyond help.
